Openings for wiring and plumbing
A new circuit, a moved drain or a panel upgrade can mean cutting into finished walls. We remove only the section the trade needs, with the edges kept wet and the debris bagged.
Typical cost in Eden Prairie
MDH lists joint compound and drywall tape mud among home products that can contain asbestos, along with plaster. When a lab confirms it in the walls or ceilings you plan to open, we remove those sections under containment. Your carpenter, electrician or plumber then works on clean framing.
Wall jobs in Eden Prairie, Shorewood and Chanhassen are part of our service area, from a single opening to a whole floor.

A new circuit, a moved drain or a panel upgrade can mean cutting into finished walls. We remove only the section the trade needs, with the edges kept wet and the debris bagged.
A full tear-out means every taped seam and patch comes out. The room stays sealed, with negative air running, until clearance samples pass.
Older plaster is on MDH’s list as well, and it is sampled apart from any newer drywall patched into it.
Ceilings have taped seams too, and any texture sprayed on top is sampled as a separate layer.
A positive result changes how a wall is opened, so the sample comes first. In a home, disturbing more than 6 square feet of friable asbestos material is work for an MDH-licensed contractor, and that holds for every trade in the house.
Above that amount, a remodeler, plumber or heating installer may not disturb the material in your home without an MDH asbestos license. We handle that part so their work stays on track.
We collect air samples while the containment is still up, and their lab report becomes part of the paperwork you keep for the job.

Ceiling texture too? See popcorn ceiling removal, or return to the home page.
