Kitchen and bath remodels
A bathroom gut can disturb the floor, the tub wall and the ceiling at once. Every positive material comes out under one containment before the remodel crew arrives.
Typical cost in Eden Prairie
Every structure in Minnesota, houses among them, has to have its asbestos removed before renovation or demolition. We take out what your survey flagged, whether it sits in floors, ceilings, walls or siding, so your remodeler or demolition contractor can start on a clean site.
We clear homes and other buildings for remodels and teardowns in Eden Prairie, Shorewood and Chanhassen.

A bathroom gut can disturb the floor, the tub wall and the ceiling at once. Every positive material comes out under one containment before the remodel crew arrives.
Removing a wall or tying an addition into the house opens drywall, siding or roofing. We take out only the positive sections along the new opening.
Abatement on a teardown is booked around the wrecking crew. MPCA sets a gap of at least two days between the end of asbestos removal and the start of demolition. Skipping a material in a section that comes down would turn that section’s entire debris load into asbestos waste.
Ten working days before regulated asbestos in these buildings is disturbed, MPCA expects notice. Houses of four units or fewer are excluded unless one owner is demolishing several of them, the house was converted from a regulated use, or the job is for commercial development, a highway or urban renewal.
When an Eden Prairie building is set to come down, expect a visit from Hennepin County. Its pre-demolition inspector checks for the survey with its report, every abatement receipt and each disposal manifest, since county ordinance puts asbestos removal ahead of the demolition.
Asbestos is turned away at the county’s drop-off facilities. We send ours wet, sealed and labeled, with a manifest, to a landfill set up to receive it.
Ask for the lab report from air sampling, the waste manifests, the MDH permit, the company’s Minnesota license and the certificates held by its workers and supervisor. MDH gives that list and also advises getting more than one bid, a written work plan and a site visit.
